Lazaro

Lazaro is a little grey horse with a big heart!  He is a 1996 grey Andalusian gelding.  This 15.1 hand gelding was Region 5 Adult-Amateur First Level Dressage Champion in 2003.  Lazaro has extremely smooth gaits and great transitions.  He will counter canter and do flying lead changes.  He also will perform shoulder-in and haunches-in maneuvers.  Lazaro currently jumps a 2'9" course and will get the 12ft. stride.  For more information on Lazaro, please contact Tiare Wells at 970-491-8373 or tiare.wells@colostate.edu.

“Ralph” is a 20 year old, 16 hand, brown Thoroughbred gelding that has done it all.  He has shown both in USEF and CHJA shows in the jumpers, equitation classes and the hunters.  Ralph is great over a 3’ course and has a lead change.  He is works well with beginners and novice riders but still has enough spunk for the intermediate riders.  Ralph does have some maintenance issues and receives hock injections and Legend shots.  For more information on Ralph, contact Tiare Wells at tiare.wells@colostate.edu or (970)491-8373.

Gabilan

Gabilan is an 18 yr-old bay grade QH gelding. He has been a part of the Equine Sciences program since 1997.  During his time here has done just about everything. His most recent job was with the therapeutic riding program. Before coming to CSU, Gabilan was a children’s rope horse. He will go English or Western, on the trail or in the arena. Gabilan requires consistent shoeing on the front to keep him sound and occasional medication for heaves.  We would like to see Gabilan in a loving home where he could be a companion horse in semi-retirement, perhaps teaching someone’s kids to ride.
