Equine Sciences Internships Print E-mail

round ram.jpgThe internship program in the Department of Animal Sciences was initiated in 1971.  This opportuity is targeted toward undergraduate students who have interest in gaining additional off-campus, hands-on experiences and to explore career possibilities.  Up to six credit hours can be earned toward graduation requirements and 40 hours of work are required per credit.

Students are encouraged to make initial contact with the cooperator to make arrangements for the internship.  Resources are readily available to assist in this process.  Prior to enrolling in the course (AN 487), a Memorandum of Agreement must be approved by the internship program coordinator.  Internships can be conducted any time of the year (i.e. during a semester, weekends, summer, holiday breaks).

A list of available internships can be found online in our exclusive Animal Sciences database. You may also use CareerRAM through the Career Center.

If you have questions about the Equine Sciences internship program or you would like to set up an internship, please contact Tiare Santistevan at Tiare.Santistevan@Colostate.edu or 970-491-8504.
