Preparation for Equine Competition Class Competes in Scotland

On February 17, 2007 four students in the Preparation for Equine Competition class competed at the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College Horse Society Invitational Horse Show. The students representing CSU were Lindsay Collins, Paulina Liszka, Katie Mellon, and Lauren Farrington. The day started out with a dressage test. Each student competed on unknown horses and each horse was ridden by 4 different universities. The top scoring rider on each horse competed for a second time. Lauren Farrington from CSU moved on to the second round. At the conclusion of dressage, the students then competed over a jump course. The jump horses were different than the dressage horses and they were once again ridden by 4 different universities. The top scoring riders on each horse then moved on to a second jumping round. CSU students were 3rd overall in the dressage phase and 6th overall for the combined scores. Congratulations to the students who competed.
