Colorado Team Wins 2008 AQHYA World Show Judging Contest Print E-mail

2008 AQHYA WORLD SHOW HORSE JUDGING CONTEST RESULTS

 

Colorado 4-H Horse Judging team takes High Team and Championship honors at the American Quarter Horse Youth Association World Show Horse Judging Contest in Oklahoma City, OK!  The Boulder County 4-H Horse Judging Team represented Colorado 4-H in the 4-H/FFA division of the AQHYA World Championship judging contest.  There were 15 teams and 57 individuals in the division.  The Boulder County team outscored the 2nd place team by 36 points, winning both the performance and the reasons divisions.  As the Colorado State Champion 4-H team, they will be competing at the AQHA Congress judging contest in October and the 4-H National Contest in January, held during the National Western Stock Show

 

Christa Forsberg: 3rd high individual overall – 6th high in halter, 3rd high in performance and 9th high in reasons

Jordan Owen: 7th high individual overall – 2nd high in performance and 2nd high in reasons (tied for 1st )

Jessica Mullin: 8th high individual overall – 10th high in performance

Olivia Fetter: 8th high in performance

 

Halter: 3rd high team overall (4 points out of 1st )

Performance 1st high team overall

Reasons: 1st high team overall

Champion team overall 4-H/FFA division
