Horse Judging Team : Century Club Print E-mail

An open letter from the CSU Horse Judging Team faculty advisor, Dr. David Denniston to all former Judging Team members:

Were you on a past CSU Horse Judging Team? If so, ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Did being a member of the CSU Horse Judging Team contribute to your current employment?
  2. Did being a member contribute to some of the positive attributes or life skills you possess today?
  3. Did being a member of a judging team make you in some way a better person?
  4. Did being a member of the CSU Judging Team provide unforgettable memories?
  5. Did being a member of the CSU Horse Judging Team improve your self confidence?
  6. Did being a member of the Horse Judging Team provide you the opportunity to meet friends you otherwise may not have had the privilege of knowing?
  7. Do you stay in touch with those people?

If the answer to one or more of the above questions was “yes”, you probably view being a part of the CSU Horse Judging Team as a valuable experience. The CSU Horse Judging Team would like to continue to make the team experience valuable, but with the rising costs of travel, it has become virtually impossible to afford each student the benefits of participating on a judging team.

However, you can help. I am soliciting former members of CSU Horse Judging Teams to contribute $100 to become a member of the CSU Horse Judging Team Alumni Century Club. The donation is of course tax deductible and all contributions will go to support the expenses involved with traveling a nationally competitive horse judging team. If you are like me, you have fond memories of your experiences as a part of the CSU Judging Team. I would like to continue to offer numerous students the opportunities both you and I capitalized upon. So, I am hoping you are in a position to realize the benefits you gained by being a part of the CSU Horse Judging Program and are willing to become a valued member of the Century Club.

As a member of the club, your name will be printed as a continued supporter in the Spring Equine Sciences Newsletter and listed on this website (see below). Additionally, you will receive regular updates on the success and progress of the CSU Horse Judging Team.

I look forward to your support and thank you in advance for your generous contribution. Please stay in touch.
