Congratulations to the CSU Horse Judging Team - 2006 AQHA World Champions!

November 15, 2006 was a great day for Colorado State and especially members of the horse judging team.  The team swept their competition by winning the High Team Halter, High Team Performance, High Team Reasons and High Team Overall honors at the 2006 American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) World Championship Show judging contest.  The team composed of Rebecca Brickman, Nathan Canaday, Megan Grieve, Silvia Otabachian, Jillian Polyard and Meghan Simpson took the 2nd, 4th, 8th, 10th and 11th high individual honors in the contest. 

 

Individual Results:

Rebecca Brickman – 10th Overall, 7th in Halter

Nathan Canaday – 4th Overall, 4th Performance, 13th Reasons

Megan Grieve – 2nd Overall, 5th Halter, 5th Performance, 5th Reasons

Silvia Otabachian – 11th Performance, 12th Reasons

Jillian Polyard – 11th Overall, 13th Performance, 8th Reasons

Meghan Simpson – 8th Overall, 10th Halter, 10th Performance, 10th Reasons

The team was also 5th High Overall at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, OH and High Team overall at the APHA Spring Sweeptakes in Fort Worth, TX.
